    *Update*
The City of Phoenix is looking for a Public Information Specialist and Public Information Officer.

I have been working as a PR Asst. to the City of Milpitas' Public Information Specialist, so I will be applying!

Rita is starting to insist that the next "upgrade" for the Black Bear is a driveway of our own we can park in on.

I love the Bay Ara, but there is no way in Hell I can afford a $500,000 morgage on a single wide mobile home.

I admit that I have been looking for homes in the Gilbert and Mesa area. Something kinda "young" so your (future) kids have other kids to play with, i lived on an "older" neighborhood and it sucked.

The other consideration is the job market. I know it sucks everywhere, but is there any on-line sites you AZ guys headhunt on? I am a PR major with 2 yrs. of Gov't./Community Relations and Event Planning expereince.

I dunno. just throwing up some flags, letting people know I wanna go. I almost have a down payment for a home stashed away. Just need to make sure the other stuff is in place.

I'll dust off the resume. I'm not against starting in another field either. Just looking for the right opertunity.

I might have a lead on a phat job out here. It'll pay well, and that just means a bigger down payment for when I do move to AZ. But if that doesn't pan out, I'm ready to leave June 1.

Re: So I want to move to Arizona...

i was looking at 4 bedroom houses in Mesa and there were a few in the 125-150k that I might really like and my house payment was $812 at the most expensive one!

I'm not looking for a mansion. just something that when a kid comes along doesn't send us into panic mode about space.

Just make sure you check with some of the locals when looking at houses. Some seem like pretty nice areas but you wouldn't want to raise a kid or have nice tools and such there...

I think what I'm going to do is find a few I like and ask a few of you AZ to "approve" them (schools, neighborhood, commutes, etc) before I go out to check them out.

I always get excited when I talk about moving, but it's getting close to graduation time, so its look more like reality.

Good luck to you, you will love it out here for the wheelin. As far as jobs, the big city is the thing, but...The smaller towns are all over AZ, with some good ops for gov jobs, and family living in "rural" AZ beats the heck out of PHX, IMHO.... My 02

    Zakk,

Congradulation on your choice to relocate!! Debbie and the family and I took a company relocation about 2 1/2 years ago, from the east, and let me tell you when we were thinking about it, we thought??? WTF, from east to west...

Well let me tell you, the best move I have ever made. Arizona is the $hit. If you like to wheel and like the outdoors, this is the place... We finally settled in the Gilber/Mesa area, and are very happy. I have 2 kids Joey and Nina, you may have seen Joey in some of my Webshots. (He's a hell of a wheeler). Gilbert is a great area, and we are really happy here. The area is awesome, about 45 minutes from some of the best wheeling in AZ. We own a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a custom pool and a 3 car garage. Got a screeaming deal on the house. Very low upkeep, have a yard guy and a pool guy to keep from spening lot's of time in the yard or on the pool.

AZ is all about enjoying the area, and family. When it get's hot it's hot, but it's only for a few months, but when it's nice it's awesome. About 8 months of the year. Can't beat that.... Can you say lot's of time on the trail.

Now, my family would not move from AZ for anything, they love the place.

It would be cool to get another wheeler out here.

Sheetmetal be for warned, I smell some fresh meat!!! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Sunshine 320 days a year! I live in Gilbert and love it, also you can wear shorts on Christmas too /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Gilbert is a great place and the marrage rate is the nations highest per house hold.. 6.9 of every 10 homes. Also Rockey point is a 4 hour drive, LA is about 7 hours and snow is 1.5 hours north during winter, dunes are about 5 hours to glamis. This place is great you will love it. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif And most wheeling is 30-45 minutesw while the lakes are 30 minutes to 45 minutes from mesa as well. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
