:eek1::eek1: My bro's a Vet. They were treating some steers (bull - for the city folk) Not sure what he was doing but he got kicked square in the nose. I guess he was bleeding alot, as any head wound will and passed out. They took him to the hospital to see a specialist(probably plastic surgeon:confused:). Had surgery last night. I guess he's doing fine, he's home. They gave him some good pain pills so he's feeling fine:laugh::laugh: so his wife says...

Dang, that sucks. Hope all turns out good

Maybe the steer remembered what happened when the vet came last time and he quit being a bull and became a steer hehe

I thought a steer was a casterated bull, I think that is how I want to describe it.

I hope they put him through a CAT scan and a few days of observation. I absolutely feel for him, getting kicked by any big animal with hooves is extremely dangerous.

A face shot is about as bad as it gets.

    :D :D :D

I have a couple of coworkers who are cowboys and by cowboy I mean the "breaking horses, working on the ranch, rodeoing" type of cowboys when they are not on duty.

Today, one is talking about competing in a ranch rodeo over the weekend and how he drew the biggest, meanest looking bronc of the bunch and getting tossed and how much pain he was in.

Then I mention an MMA video I watched a couple of nights ago and how one guy had about a grapefruit sized bruise, which was a dark purple on his ribs.

Not to be outdone, the other cowboy opens the door to the men's room there in the office, steps in and starts taking his gear off. I thought the old boy needed to drop off a liberal rant in the can, but he drops his freaking pants right there and on the outside thigh of his leg is the nastiest, darkest, bruise I've seen and it is slightly larger than a grapefruit. Got kicked by a horse.

    I couldn't beat that.

Of course I think when he left the first fight we went to tonight right before he got off, the zip tie was still on the driveshaft of his patrol pickup:haha: :haha: :haha:

yeah getting kicked by a horse is no joke, hope he gets better soon. I know that people in my family like a few cousins and uncles that mess with cows and horses mess them on more than a few occasions for this and that. They always say that whatever side your on especially the back, to tie that nearest leg to something sturdy on the opposite side of them so you wont get kicked. I guess my uncle learned that one by trial and error. On another note, a horse tried to kick a friend of mine while we were putting out hay for them, he walked up and punched it square in the face, it was pretty funny.

I didn't even know until he showed us. He's been working away just like it's nothing. In fact, during our "sweep" of the one the local establishments we had last night, the lady that was running the place told the goofball I ended up hauling to jail that I was being nice and that my cowboy coworker was mean. After we left and got back to the office, he comes into the office and asks me, "just who the hell was that? I don't know her and she called me mean."

    :haha: :haha: :haha:
