I bent the left rear on my old K5. Turned it about 30 degrees at the front eye.

I'm so poor I can't even pay attention [IMG]

8 lug Dana 44, clean brake of axle tube and housing, bent both 3/4 t front springs and broke off both front spring hangers. Was going 40-50mph in desert, recent wash out just below a slight crest in the trail caught me by surprise. Front end dropped in and the truck came to a rather abrupt halt. I was wearing a belt and shoulder harness. Good thing.

I have also. It involved a canal and mucho brewskis. No I didnt wreck, I launched my cherokee coming out of a canal. I just got too much liquid courage and got froggy. I wouldn't have bent them except it went straight up 4 ft ( i was told by people that seen) and came straight down. Effectivly lowered the front by 3 "!! [IMG] Never did that again, and have since quit drinking. It was like 10 yrs ago.

BTW. It was both front springs and they bent at the rear at the fixed end.

    Steve-
Found this on www.gorancho.com. Maybe you could get a new set of springs from Rancho then sell them.

    SUSPENSION COMPONENTS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Limited lifetime warranty on all Rancho’s suspension products. Rancho Industries warrants each new Suspension Component against factory defects in material and workmanship (except finish) for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the products were originally installed.

One of my friends rolled his cj last summer and inverted all 4 shackles which kinked all four springs. He drove it out of the trail and said it rode better than ever before!!

Bent 'em, tweaked 'em, and broke 'em (from too much negative arc'ing and too much axle wrap).

    Lets see.......

    1. While chasing coyotes, we ran into a steep ditch and "bombed" the passenger side front springs. When we got back on the level road, the truck sat about 2" lower on that side than the driver side. [IMG]
    2. In a different truck, I got stuck in a clay pit. It took a huge, full size 4x4 tractor to get the damn truck back out. While the tractor was jerking the truck out, it kept twisting the frame becase half the truck was at an angle the the tractor was pulling it out at the opposite angle. On level road, the whole cab and bed were crooked with the rear spring bent too. Also broke some springs in the pack too. [IMG]
    3. On that blue short bed truck (I posted pic awhile back) it had a 4" Rancho lift on it and we were out at the golf course driving in the middle of the night with no lights. It was also snowy outside. I was driving along one of the fairways and we were heading towards the greens, when we forgot all about the SANDTRAP in front of the green!!!!!!!! BAM!!!!!!!! Broke the windshield with our heads and when we stopped rolling, we were right in the middle of the green. We quickly got out of there and back on the road. Got out to inspect the damage and found the front bumper turned up into the fenders and one side of the Rancho spring was lower than the other. We got home and took a tape measure to see the difference. It showed 1" drop. So, I had a 4" on one side and a 3" on the other. [IMG] [IMG]

There was this kid I used to be friends with in high school. Remember the "No Fear" stickers that used to be popular? Well that was this guys motto. He went balls out on everything he did.
There is this hill in a neighborhood about half a mile away from our high school. It is huge and steep and anything over 15 mph is a mistake. Well this guy decided to hit it at about 50 in his stock Jeep Wrangler. It was Dukes of Hazzard style and he landed so hard he flew out though the soft top(no seatbelt) and the Jeep flew into the side of a garage. When they pulled it out one of the front springs was shaped like an S.
