I just made some drastic changes in my diet this week...and it sucks!!

Coffee is out altogether (that's been a little rough), fatty and oily foods are out, but I've always hated oily food, so no biggie...

Anything that mildly aggravated my heartburn in the past is gone...So I'm pretty much left with lettuce, cottage cheese, and a bunch of veggies. I can't even eat mor than a few bites of cereal with milk...

I just finished a cheese/turkey/dilusso/cheese wrap, which was the tastiest thing I've eaten all week...

My lunch every day this week has been a pile of lettuce, a blob of cottage cheese, half an orange, some feta cheese, and apple pie, jello or carrots. I'm thinking of bringing one of those bags of baby carrots to work next week to munch on as I work...

    Egad, I miss flavor... :(

    Yeah, acid reflux really bad.

Me too on the carnivore status, but I went crazy on vacation last week eating all the crap I never eat; burgers, hot dogs, steak with fat dripping off it. I started feeling unusual pains in my chest, did some reading, and now I'm taking the high road to health or something like that...

I miss my Ham and cheese with a bag of cheetos lunch...or the Buffalo Chicken wrap with extra hot sauce and bleu cheese I usually have friday nights for Family Ice Cream night...

Brandon, I've tried in the past to change like that, but couldn't resist giving up some foods. I guess I needed the right motivation :).

The odd balance of being between a short life of hedonism and a long one of misery

I've been eating oatmeal, applesauce, finely mushed eggs, water, and V8 juice because I can't chew squat.

Short life of Hedonism would be nice if it existed, I'm sure. Unfortunately, the life's not short...it's drawn out into pain and suffering as a result of said hedonism. So it could actually be viewed as the odd balance of short period of hedonism resulting in extended functional degradation, and long life lacking such pains...

Hedonism is actually a club in Negril... Wonder what their marketing is?

Thank you fumes, one more thing to add to the safe and lame list... :thumb:

I changed my diet a few weeks ago. I eat a lot more veggies, and cut out as much sugar and fat as I could. My dinners are commonly, ham steak and peas(or corn), burritos(can't cut that out), or some other lean beef product, chicken breast. Often I just snack on carrot sticks for lunch. And my desert is commonly carrot sticks with no dip. I feel better about myself eating this way(feels weird to yell at myself when I have chocolate). I still have cereal but only original cheerios and wheaties. Lots of dairy in my diet as of now. So far I feel good, its meeting my dietary needs and my skin is getting better(Not so much acne). Oh once a week I have an egg white omelet with diced ham.

My big problem is I really don't like much in the way of veggies. Lettuce, corn, peas, carrots, and some onions, is all I like. The rest I just hate.
