to your ghetto music at the gas pump. I got the nice experience of that today. I'm sure you guys have had your share too. I'd like to hit em with open exhaust at about 5000rpm, and then hollar "like my music" and take off.

When I had my kick-a$$ stereo in the late '80's (award winning blah, blah, blah), I had a similar experience. Except I put on Aaron Copeland's 'Rodeo' and cranked it up. If you know the piece, it has incredible bass in the song, and it just blew away those idiots' music!!

I know what you mean, it pisses me off to no end. Then I start laughing at myself, because I liked my music that loud when I was a kid. The older you get, the more annoying childish behavior becomes.

The difference I see now with the loud music is that when I was a kid, we would turn our music down when in places like residential neighborhoods, gas stations, etc..., now no one gives a crap who they're annoying. I think sometimes they turn it even louder when they are somewhere they know they can piss people off.

Jesus, I'm getting old! I can't believe I'm sitting here bitching about "those damn kids and their loud music"!:doah:

You ever hear that beef commercial on radio or T.V.? By the Beef Council?

The background music is Aaron Copeland's 'Rodeo'.

When I was 18-20 I had a huge stereo system in my br*nc*. It was worth 10 times the truck. But I turned it down when I was around people, other cars, homes, and etc. But I was raised to respect others, and also didn't listen to that crap. Thats the problem, crap music and no respect.

I had Floyd, Zepplin, Blind Faith, and others jamming on mine. Nothing like hearing the chopper in "The Wall" with four 12's. You see people looking out the window at the sky!

Just get a train horn installed on your rig and blast them out! If I was a cop I'd show no mercy to that crap!

It is a lack of respect mostly. The other part is that the missing self esteem or self worth has people trying to show off to impress others now. It's the new culture. I work with a guy that can't pay his phone or electric bill, but he has 2 different "grilles" for his mouth.:doah: I honestly don't know what is wrong with people these days. It seems now in music, if you can't talk about money or material possesions, you dont make it. An entire generation is being brought up that way.

My only real problem with that situation is that the systems are so poorly tuned. Good grief, throw a rag under your licence plate and drop the gain down so that the music makes more noise than the speaker itself. I had neighbors that would crank up that tehano music. I started cranking Rammstein. They were out gunned and turned their system down.

Knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing = Cynic.
