    Just as the title says...
A pre '79 box, i need to know what size socket to take the nut and steering arm off?
It's bigger than 1-1/4"... maybe like 1-1/2"? I don't have one in front of me, and need to go back to the junkyard tommorow to pull it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

    Thanks in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Mine was in between 1 1/4" - 1 5/16". I used whatever size fit best then once i had it removed i had a friend of mine machine the nut so that a 1 1/4" socket fits it perfect now.
