how does the wind get in? through a bad seal? or just from the windows being down?

I have the Kayline top on my 73 and it flaps with the windows open, but I don't notice anymore wind noise then before. Of course the seals around my doors are shot so there is quite a howl anyway. I have pulled three of the snaps out the top already and I've only had it a couple of months.
