Spring is just around the corner...

Who wants a soft top?

Go to http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/softtops.htm for your part #. If we can get 10 or so people who want a soft top, we ill be able to get 10 or 15% off (shipping will still be same ~$40, as there will be different addresses).

I am not sure how to do the payment thing. Maybe send it to paypal? Then I can put them all on one card? Suggestions for this?

Who's interested???

What about bikini tops are they making those yet?

Chevyfumes,
I don't think they are making Bikini tops. however, check out http://coloradok5.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=firstgen&Number=336360&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&part=

You can always run the Safari style from ORD.

I would like a bikini too, however, I think I will just order some canvas from my local fabric shop and use some hooked rubber bungies and/or nylon straps going over my roll bar and connect to the front lip on my windshield.

Who else wants a soft top?

I would like one. Needs to be for the full convertible 1975. $599 is kind of steep - I hope it is good quality and has all the parts.

Cookn

To be clear... the price on the web page is the regular RETAIL price. We should be able to get 10-15% off of THAT price... hence, a FastTtrack setup would be ~ $539.00 - $509.00

I havnt decided for sure yet, but i may be interested. i really wanted a skyler, but as I posted on the main board, they probably wont be available again for a while. i would love a Can-Back, but cant afford it. i dont like the looks of the Fast track with those rear quarter windows. But, i may be interested i the original specialty top. Keep me posted.

Hey, i have a question, on the review of the Kayline fast track soft top under product reviews, there is like 9 colors to chose from. but specialty top only mentions black and white. what i would like to know is weather I can still get a top in a color, or do i have toi chose between black and white. Thanks,
ike

I was told black and white is it. Something about the previous company lost money when they offered colors. But anyways, you can have any color you want as long as it is either black or white. [IMG]

Re: Soft top mass order, may = 15% off

last year I woulda been all over this deal....but now I am leaning towards just having a local fab guy make me some kinda roll-bar-looking tube that would run from one bed rail to the other right behind the passanger seat... then taking some marine grade fabric of some kind and stretching it over this thing and tying it down to the ends of the rails by the tail gate...kinda like a Jeep bikini top for the rear passanger seat.

Not sure if I explained that very well, but if you have a buddy that can bend tube, I'd be a QUICK job and shouldn't cost much either. When I do this myself, I will definitely post pics and my web shots album,

I would love to be in on this, but it will porbably will be several months before I could afford it. If you do find a few people interested you might try contacting Damon aka Moose at toyboxoffroad.com and see if he could get a better price on them. The top company might be willing to give a parts dealer a better price, and Damon is all about hooking up members of CK5 with deals on stuff. It wouldn't hurt to ask once you get a few people seriously interested.

I am not sure if I am going to go with a 72 or keep my '73 for now. This of course makes buying a soft top silly. DANG I am not sure what to do...

Sorry folks.... /forums/images/icons/frown.gif

I am definately interested, does the color or whether it is a fastrack or a snap top matter? I am looking at getting one in the next month or two.

Where can I see a picture of the black top on a full convertible 73-75 model? The Offroad design page only shows pictures of the partial convertible.

Thanks.
