How many K-5 out there run a system with Subs with a soft top or topless? What kind of sound do you get without the fiberglass top..

    Thanks

    LA,

During the summer I run with the top off. The main thing you'll notice right away is how much quieter the subs are when you play them into "the great wide open". I usually do a little tweaking on the subwoofer amps settings to "open them up" a bit more than when the top is installed.

Other than that, with a properly designed set of subwoofer cabinets and adequate power....you should have NO problem hearing and FEELING the bass. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

road noise requires higher volume capabiltiy and as noted, sub performance when pumped into the wide-world is degraded. other than that, its a-ok. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
