We went out to find some snow to pull the kids on sleds. Well we managed to find plenty of snow.

Today was mine turn to get stuck.

At least we were quite a ways from pavement.:wink1:

Being locked front & rear, Dad (fred2mihi) ruled the day. Pulled my arse out, that's for sure.

I have decided that I prefer getting stuck in deep snow over deep mud. I might change my mind if mud would melt off in the driveway like the snow is doing now.

    About 10-15 miles north.

Actually the weather difference is very interesting. Buena Vista has been nice and sunny, little windy, but warm enough to be outside with a light jacket. Then we go 10-15 miles north and there's quite a bit of snow and it was cold and overcast. Dad says the Leadville area has gotten a good amount of snow. BV just doesn't seem to get that much.

Scott is being very modest in his account of the story, I cleaned his plow, actually I should have known better than be trying to run in 2 to 2 1/2 feet of wind crusted snow, once you broke through the crust at about 1 1/2 feet the only thing you could do was sink. What Scott isn't telling is he is stuck in close to 4 feet of snow!:haha: :haha: Those super swampers that dug holes the previous day floated real well! All in all I think everyone had a great time considering moderately high winds with blowing and drifting snow, our tracks had blown shut while we were getting Scott "UNSTUCK", we had nearly as much trouble driving back out as we did getting in. I'm sorta proud of me and that blue thing, I could have been just as stuck as he was with a 5 mile hike out to our third vehicle. What a GREAT way to start 2006!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

I haven't really thought much about it but I kinda like "that blue thing" or "blue thing". I'm sure something will come up like the "old mans truck" or some such thing. What do you suppose would fit me?

Blue Thing works for me, your too young & active to be called an old man. That doesn't fit you at all.

Besides you can ask the ladies if they'd like to see your thing. :D

Kyle and I were going with "Blueberry". That way when it got stuck it was "Blueberry jam" and when it got bounced off a rock that was in the way it was "Blueberry Crunch".

Glad to see you're enjoying it Fred! Can't wait to be joining you guys again!

HA! The blue one would have been at that end of the strap the day before, but a Dodge pickup showed up before my brother-in-law in the General. And he was only 2ft off of pavement.:tongue1:
