I plan on putting on headers with dual exhaust (no cat converter) on a 79 blazer with a 350. What are good brands for the headers and mufflers? There seems to be several to choose from, but I have no idea what makes one better than the other.

    Thanks!

I think you would be happy with either Flowtech Afterburner or Hooker headers and flowmaster muffs.

I have an 85 with the 350, no headers, raven mufflers, turned out the sides behind the rear wheels. As far as headers go I have hookers on my 69 firebird and have always been happy with them.

The only thing the U.S. Militery could find to take the place of the K5 was the Hummer.

I recommend Hooker Super Competition headers and Flowmaster 40 mufflers for maximum horsepower and awesome sound effects! I also went for Hooker's 2¼" Competition dual exhausts.

Part numbers for my '78 were as follows:

    Headers: 2827
    Exhausts: 16528
    Mufflers: 42441

I got my stuff from Summit, and have been very pleased with them.
