Some good news for Azusa Canyon

    this was posted by the president of ACORA this morning:

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]The sediment removal project has reached their goal 2.711 million cubic yards of dirt moved out of the OHV area. This means that the next mud season (should be) will be like the old mud seasons. This means that the water will be drawn down through the hydro electric generators in the dam. When this happens smaller sections are exposed every week extending the fresh mud over months, as opposed to dropping all the water over a week or two and then having a weekend or two of big mud.

    The only thing that would change this is if someone decided to do some work on the dam (or one of the other two) that would then effect the water release.

    Either way it looks to be a good year ahead of us!
