Hey, when you made your rock skids how many legs are tied into the frame?

    Thanks

O.k. he aint tellin the whole story, he is stuck so damn hard that it takes me tying my K5 to the front of the Green K-10 to pull his big old heavy but up. Then when Kyle in the Green K-10 is turning around he snaps a front axle shaft inner and outer.

There not directly tied to the frame at all. My truck was rusted out so bad that I made new floors. The Nurfs are now stucturly part of the body. I had to make a new floor system out of 1x2 box and they are tied to that and thats tied into the cab side of the body suports. There are rubber bumpers where the legs come to the frame so if the truck were hit from the side the load would be transfered the the frame. I plan on getting a few more pics up this weekend and I'll try to get the one of the underside of the floor up as well.

Just thought I would add a laugh or two, how is Rob, did he get the shaft replaced? We need to get together and go wheeling again. I have emailed Steve about the Cherokee, he is gonna go check out the yards I mentiond for a new body.

Cool, look forward to seeing it!
How bout you Dep?? do you have underside photo of your rock bars??
I am most likely gonna do this to my rig, my rockers are toast and the style of wheelin I do I can't justify doing body work/paint work so gonna go for trail beef!!
    Thanks guys

mine are 2x3" 11 guage steel. They are welded to the body in place of the stock rockers. They are not attached to the frame in any place. I will take a few with the digital and email them to you in the next couple of days.

Hey Depdog, Rob is good he fixed Dana 44 in time to go to the SFWDA ride. Then he broke it again, there. This time he had a spare and we changed it out at the campground. One of the best "trail" repairs I've ever seen, it went smother than some things I've done in the driveway. Life is good when you have spare parts and the tools to put them in. The picture of him going up the crack on my site was taken on the trail ride the next morning. Jim.

Grim, the site is looking great. I just watched Depdog's video of the same action. You also had your trailer hitch burried in the dirt. You have got to see the video, it is too much. Rob's truck is hopping when he is trying to strap you out. Man, you were stuck! BTW thanks for the link, Jim.

I couldn't have been that stuck! It didn't take me a half a second to get stuck LOL.
Ohhh I got to see the vid. From the amount of tire smoke I had going once I got it fired off I know it had to look wild. You going to be around this weekend? I may try to catch up with you if your going to be around.

Grim, are you still on the site? Me and my friend Scott were thinking about running some power line roads one day this weekend or something close and easy, he's got a 2000 TJ :) I've got company tomorrow, but other than that I'm free untill wed afternoon, let me know if you want to get together. Jim.
