Sandi just got in and said while she was out she heard on the radio about Stairway to Heaven by (get this).........DOLLY PARTON! AND (it gets better) she puts a bluegrass twist on it! This will prob be funny enough to have to at least TRY to listen to.

I love bluegrass, Dolly is okay, BUT a line must be drawn and just like in that classic piece of cimenotography "Wayne's World," no Stairway.

There was another album done a few years back..."Crossroads" I think?

Clint Black covering the Eagles and a bunch of others. One I really like was Travis Tritt(I think it was Travis.../forums/images/icons/crazy.gif) covering Aerosmith's "I don't wanna miss a thing". I like both versions of the song. It helps if you like country though...

As for Dolly covering Led Zepplin, that's just plain wrong IMO.

I think it was Mark Chesnutt, I heard that song on the way to the hospital the morning after my daughter was born. I still remember exactly what the jock on the air said backselling it; "Sounds like Mark Chesnutt went to an aerosmith concert this summer"... 'Course, I can't stand aerosmith anymore, hate giving them credit for initiating such a great song...

Country covering country is good, I think my current favorite song is Clint Black's unplugged version of "I don't think Waylon (Hank) done it this way".

I just heard some female artisit singing "sweet child of mine" last night, I think on the Adam Sandler movie with the kid. That was kinda weird, good song, but feels too young to be remade...

I always get the two of em mixed up...don't ask why cuz I don't know either.

The song I recall hearing the night my daughter was born was "Don't take the girl" by Tim McGraw...and my wife was having a difficult labor. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif
