someone explain shackle flip for me!!

    how do i do a shackle flip? what does it involve? is there easy how-to instuctions posted anyware? What will I need to replace when doing this change in the rear of 83 blazer?
    What kind of lift will i get in the back?

    What kind of flip do you want to do? ORD sells a flip that will bolt in place of your current shackle bracket. I did a homemade flip where I just cut out the bottom of the factory shackle bracket and flipped the shackle over.

    If you do the ORD flip, you will need their brackets. They will probably come with the hardware to install the brackets, but you will probably need to get new shackle bolts and bushings.(I had to torch the bolts out on my 82).

    If you just do the flip like I did, all you will need is some shackle bolts and bushings.

    Either one of these flips will give you about 4" of lift.
