no someone added an email address IN his paypal account. Change the password ASAP, and contact Paypal to inform them.

Answer any emails lately? Never do that.

Did the notice come in an email asking you to click a link? Never click any links to get to Paypal, only log in at www.paypal.com

Once logged in you can change your password and check what email addresses are on the account. If you can't log in, call your bank and see if they can help you.

Log on to PayPal. Let them know ASAP. No reason to take a chance.

I toss all those in the trashcan . I only save the verification notice AFTER a purchase . Anything else is trash to me .

Log in to the paypal site itself and see for yourself . They ( REAL PAYPAL ) will not ask for anything in an e-mail . https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/general/SecuritySpoof-outside

And never leave a balance in there , pay everthing credit card through paypal .

This is the 2nd time this has happened. I tried logging in through the link, and it wanted my credit card number and PIN#. I tried logging in directly from www.paypal.com and it just wanted my password. I changed it now.

Once I got a message saying I sent money to someone even though I didn't. Now I got this saying a second e-mail address was added. I checked, and neither appears to be true at all. According to paypal records, none of these things ever happened.

ah, just ignore those stupid messages. Paypal and Ebay will never ask you to log in through the email, if you have an email ask you to, delete it.

I got a offical looking notice about a XXX amount of charge. I did NOT click the link. When I went to Pay-Pal, there was nothing in the records. You gotta be carefull with that stuff. They'll get your password when you sign in if you click the link in the emails.

ignore the email, just forward it to spoff@paypal.com, and change your password regularly.
