This tranny has been in my blazer for about four years now and has worked great. Just in the last couple of days when I let off the trottle it seem like the tranny just lets go. Then when I get back into it the tranny seems to have to catch back up to itself. There is tranny fluid. Any suggestions.

Is it full though. I would change the filter and fluid and go from there.

What gear does this happen in!?
All the gears? How does reverse seem- any different?
Is this happening ALL the time now, or only once in a while like it could be the shifter linkage?

Ah! Sounds like it just needs some new clutches and seals. Thats about all that goes down on 400's. Or it could be your torque convertor clutches are shot. But the good news is those 400's are cheap to work on and if that ain't cheap enough, they are not bad to rebuild either. Good Luck! /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Dump the fluid & check for black material or metal in the pan. Does the fluid smell burnt?
If the torque connveter is going it will take out the tranny quick. If the filter is plugged up it will also cook it quick.
