I listen to X Country on XM every once in awhile. In fact, I have it on right now. They play a lot of Southern Rock influenced people, along with straight up stuff.................

I love Southern Rock. Skynard is my fav. I have never heard anything by Shooter Jennings. His dad was without a doubt the baddest A$$ country singer every to strap on a guitar though. Waylon was awesome. That right there gives Shooter at least some credibility. So is Shooter's CD more of a country slant or a classic rock slant?

Skynard's always been a favourite ever since the day, kind of into stuff like Travis Tritt now too. Does that count as southern rock? Often listen to Little Feet and Waylon ofcourse!

Lets put it like this if you didnt know Waylon was dead...on some songs you would swear it was him singing. But it does have more of a rock sound to it.

Man you're right. I downloaded some of his songs after I read this post and he sounds alot like Waylon. It looks like he is redoing alot of Waylon's songs too. I like it. Hope he does well.

I had a chance to go see Waylon at a casino over here, sort of a sit-down kinda concert with just him playing some of his old songs. Couldn't make it. I would have loved to have seen him.
