i picked up some AC Delco normal plugs - not plats - and the guy said to gap them to .035. That sounds a little narrow. I had always heard something more like .045 for my truck...the ignition is all stock. Thanks

Goto www.napaonline.com, enter your vehicle's (or vehicle with that engine) specs and do a search for spark plugs. It shows you the results with the correct gapping.

    Hope this helps.

The emissions sticker under the hood of mine says to gap 'em at .035.

my haynes only goes as high as 87, but its a 350 TBI too, and its .045...won't it run better with a wider gap?

I gap the plugs at 45 on my 89K5
I get worse gas milage when they are gapped at 35
It also runs better at 45

put them in yesterday along with a new O2 sensor. I think the idle is a little smoother, but haven't really payed attention to it enough to notice
