Ok, I did a search and got not exactly what I want... it's getting dark and I need to get my spark plug wires on asap.... what is the order on the dist cap.... that is they go on number wise.... (from bottom left) is it, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5, 7, 2, 1? I dunno if this right but i pulled this from somewhere..... and on the engine... the number order on the spark plugs? If I was facing the front of the Blazer... left side (pass side) and right side (drivers side).... thanks so much.... I'm saving money by doing work myself... and I am actually doing it and not messing up too badly lol! [IMG]

OK - as you look at it, the plugs are

    8 7
    6 5
    4 3
    2 1
    fan

The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, with #1 being on the bottom left as you look straight down at it.

The firing order is 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2, the number one wire goes on the 2nd post to the left of the "bridge" that covers your HEI wires that go into the dist. body. Hope that made sense.

Unfortunately you don't know where the #1 is, could be anywhere depending on who put the distributor in. GM says it's supposed to be directly to the left of the place where you put the wires, then go around in a clockwise fashion in the above order.

Not true 84_Chevy_K10, all she has to do is pull the dist cap, pull the #1 plug, and then have someone jump the starter until air pushes her finger out of the #1 spark plug hole, then she'll be at TDC on the #1 cylinder and the rotor should be pointing to that cylinder. Easy as cake.
