Gonna take the SKS and my .22 to the range today. 120 rounds of 7.62 and over 600 rounds of .22. Should be loads of fun :)

Just for S&G's here's my small firearm collection.

    Front to rear:

    Taurus .357
    Benelli Nova
    Marlin Bolt .22
    SKS

The .357 is loaded up with .357 Mag Federal Hydra-Shok, and the 12 gauge is fitted out with Winchester 3" Mag 00 Buck. I don't know if you can tell but I re-blued the reciever cover and barrel on the SKS. Looks a little cleaner now.

We have one of those out here, but I usually go out quail hunting and take a few toys out to practice with or find a coyote!!!!

If you want to see my collection you have to break into my house. Then you get to see it first hand!!!

Went to the range yesterday and tried out the new AK and Keltec .380 and took along a 9MM and .45 (Taurus PT-92 and PT-145)

The crappy old surplus ammo sucked in the AK but the new stuff worked great, dumping a 30 rd mag sure is fun!

The Keltec was surprisingly accurate and easy to shoot for such a tiny-ass gun, no issues at all in 100 rds.

    320 rds of 7.62
    300 rds 9MM
    200 rds .45
    100 of .380...........

    and a big chit-eating grin.

It's a Briley "Quail" choke, somewhere in between improved cylinder and modified.

I was really tempted to buy to 1,000 round case of 7.62 at Gander Mountain today. But I stil haven't done a functional check of the SKS yet, so 120 is enough for now. I'm sure the range will be open tomorrow. I might have to bring the .357 to shoot as well.

How much was the case there? The best I can find lately is $160 for Wolf, which sucks, it was $90ish this summer.

$3.99/box of 20. I don't know if I would have gotten a bulk discount. I'm waiting for midway to get the 1,000 round cases back in stock :D
