Does that mean that they are both a POS?

I noticed that and wondered about it. The end of the article also repeats the wisdom, "You get what you pay for." Although, as a guy on a very limited budget who usually wheels with guys who have nice stuff, I could probably get away with a POS for the rare occasion when I need it. :)

That probably was a bad way to ask - I have a bunch of stuff from HF that works great (Jacks, air tools/compressor stuff) and assorted small stuff, but don't know anything about their larger electrical stuff.

I am straight up budget oriented , and all my stuff from there works too .

Now the winch would be for my DD , and not used too often I'm sure . So I could probably get away it for the price .

And I have seen one in use , its on my friends jeepster . I can't recall him having any trouble . I'll ask him when we talk this week .

I have one thats on my race car trailer and it works fine no complaints from me. Although I am not sure that I would want to rely on it for recovery work.
