Ive been on a cheesy 80's action movie binge for the last month or so. I started watching them thinking they would help put me to sleep, only to find myself on the edge of my seat untill the very last fun filled second. There is something about them that makes them great, even some of the bad ones rock.

    Recently viewed titles include:

    The Punisher (Dolph Edition)
    Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins
Rambo (All of 'em, even 3)
    Conan the Barbarian
    Conan the Destroyer (KROM!!!)
Top Gun (yes, it is cheesy)
    Bloodsport
    Masters of the Universe
Aliens (about 7 times in a row)
Nate and Hayes (Tommy Jones is a freaking Pirate!)

I wish there was some way I could combine them and watch them all at once.

That, right there, is it. Period. There is no other.

Ever read the books? All 153 or whatever of them?

I managed to get hold of a few back in high school. They were out of order, and I only read a couple of them. Still floating around somewhere at my parents house... They were good though. Kinda reminded me of Indian Jones and the Hardy Boys, only funny.

When he cuts the glass with that dudes tooth though, I cry a tear of happiness. It's just too awesome.

You need to throw in Commando and learn the ways of the sawblade grasshopper.

don't forget Robocop. I really liked Robocop 2. Now that is great 80s action cheese. Special effects on the the R2 really aren't that bad either. My fav scene is when the 2 thugs are robbing the gun store (which, like all hollywood gunstores, has rocket launchers in a secret "back room") and robo shows up alone in his car.

Yep, just enough humor to make it worth watching over and over and over. :D

Nobody mentioned Fast Times at Ridgemont High yet.

Jefferson's brother: My brother's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill us! He's gonna kill you and he's gonna kill me, he's gonna kill us!

Jeff Spicoli: Hey man, just be glad I had fast reflexes!

    Jefferson's Brother: My brother's gonna ****!

Jeff Spicoli: Make up your mind, dude, is he gonna **** or is he gonna kill us?

Jefferson's Brother: First he's gonna ****, then he's gonna kill us!

Jeff Spicoli: Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
