i just installed my STC fastrac this weekend. it is kinda a pain in the you know what to install, but it looks good once its done. i will try to post some pics today(10-2-01). i think the directions are kinda confusing. it doesnt explain everything exactly. i do see some room for improvement on it though. i may modify mine alittle. ill try to get some pics posted and if you have any questions just let me know. later.......tmanofcali

I have the non fasttrac style and have had it sence 94 or so. It has survived the weather and abuse fairly well. I have busted many snaps over the yrs but very easy to repair with a snap kit. I have one zipper that doesn't work anymore but can be repaired at a local shop. I installed two footman loops onto the inside of my tailgate and then used 1" sinch strap to keep the top nice and snug/tight when all the windows are rolled up(safari style). If you have the windows up and drive on the freeway the air will force the top downward if the top is not tight. I am happy with my top but I like the style of the Can-Back canvas they make for 76 and up K5s. Maby someday they will comeout with a full top for us???
