I'm trying to solve a noisy speedo with bouncy needle. I have a few questions for the experts: I ordered a new cable from LMC, do you think I need to lube it before I install it, or is it pre-lubed? If it turns out to be the speedo itself, what should I do? Can I fix it myself somehow, or can I get it repaired or trade it in on a rebuilt? or do I have to buy a new one for $150? /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Your local speedo shop can repair and recalibrate it for you!

If you have a tach you can always figure out your speed threw your tire size to gear ratio to RPM's. that is what i do in my truck.
