Does anybody know where or a part number so that I can get a speedometer cable for my 69 blazer. I went to O'reiles, Autozone, Bumper to Bumper, Napa, and advanced. All i got was dumb looks and we cant get it. One kid kept trying to sell me an accelerator cable. I couldnt convince him that I knew what I needed and that that wasnt it. thanks for ya'lls help once again.

There are a couple of options for you.

    NEW:
1-http://www.chevyduty.com/frame-store.html and do a part search for speedometer cable or 1(800) 741-1678

    USED:
go to the "Parts Wanted" forum and ask there. Sometimes you can find someone parting out a Blazer in the "Parts for Sale" forum also.

Check in the Yellow pages or search online for a speedo shop. I had one made in Dallas for $40.
    Try:http://www.speedometerrepair.com/

Did you check the local Chevy dealer? There's an O'Reilly's (Chevy) in Tucson, but I see you're far away. Mail Order outfits like Golden State or LMC truck parts might be your best bet.

Thanks for all the help guys. I went to autozone just to check again. The guys said he didnt have it. Then I asked him to pull generic speedometer for chevrolets. figured a later model would fit . Well he just put in chevy speedometer cable. When the list came up it said
    1969 Chevrolet K 10, C 10 Part # CA-3004 Pioneer Inc.
It had several different lengths. 77" is the winner. could go a little shorter though.
this is after he said they didnt stock parts that go back that far. Buy parts for the willys there and its a 53
I wanted a oem one but couldnt go without it here. If you do 26 in the 25 mph zone you get a ticket.
once again thanks for the help
