Okay, I am dropping the 383 in tomorrow. Getting plugs today. I have run AC Delco Rapidfire plugs in the past and have been pleased. Are the splitfires any better? I don't want the extra cost of the platinums as I am not sold on their price for performance gain. The splitfires and the rapidfires are the same price.

    Thoughts?

Every person I've ever talked to that has run Splitfires say they suck. Even had a guy with a FI Toyota 2wd, who put them in and fouled em out in a month.

<font color="green"> I had good luck with the Splitfires in an old Toyota that had some blowby issues, they have a big spark so they tend not to foul as bad. For a new motor I would go with the rapidfires, I use them and have been very happy with them.

You will only see a gain with split-fires if you have a weak ignition or bad timing.
