Me, Steve Fox, Ken(White Whomper), and Greg(Schneggie, GM of the Month) are planning to do Spring Creek trail next Sunday the 14. Anybody else interested? Probably meet around the 10:00 range and head out from Burger King there at the exit. All are invited

I might be able to fit it in if the wife lets me.
I haven't been up there yet. How is the trail?
I think most of the snow should be gone. It's been melting fast up here.
Anybody ever here from Toby anymore?

It's rated a 7 out of 10 but I dont think its that bad, theres one section that has a Boulder field, but that even has a bypass.
Ive ben over that trail several times and im only running LSD's front & rear so you guys with lockers should have no problems at all.
Ill try to make it up depending on the "honey doo's" , does anyone remember what exit # that is ?

    Thanks for the info. TJ.
Not trying to be so careful but I still like the pannels on the truck. The truck rocks now so if I'm not pushing trees over with my lights then all is good. I think you guys will be impressed with the trooper now. The wife gets back from out of state on Tues. so we'll see. I also take off for the Bahammas at the end of the month so Honey-do list is always a squeeze.

Hope we both can make it this time.

Yea I was thinking the snow would be dwindling quickly up there and it is supposed to be warm all week so we will just have to see. Glad you fellows will be making it. Dave I am anxious to see the "New" Stormtrooper. I could see that big fatty 14 bolt in your pic of Hell's Gate.

Nope, can't get rid of them even if I try, besides I sit so high they help with the side hill balance. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Guess you guys will need to plow me a path. If we keep doing tight trails I might need to buy me a Heep....J/K.
So far so good, looks like I can go but the final decission is not yet in.
Dam, the wardon is sure looking sweet after being gone for a week /forums/images/icons/wink.gif.
I might need to butter her up...ah......with some flowers.

I am hoping to make it on your run this weekend. I am new to CO so could you let me know where the Burger King is. By the way I dont have a winch, is it a necessity this time of year up there?
    Thanks

    Dave

I'm In for sure! Yeeee Haaaa! (sorry)
CODave, your bio doesn't say much but Downieville is just west of Idaho Springs which is west on I-70 from Denver.
Don't know which way you are coming from but I'm in Summit County (west of there). If you get to Downieville you can't miss the Burger King (Not much there).
As for the winch, I'm lacking one also so I hope if it is needed, someone with one can pull us through. So tell us about your truck?

CODave if you leave Denver headed out 70West you will see the Downieville exit just west of Idaho Springs. From Denver allow an hour just in case of traffic. When you get off the exit Burger King will be on your right. It and a gas station with a subway is all that is there, so it is easy to find. No winch is not a problem, most of us have them and if you have lockers it should not be necessary. Welcome to CO.
Greg, I have not talked to Steve so I will call him tonight to make sure.

Thanks for the directions. I think I can find it now. TJ' I fixed the damage the day after we went out. I had the parts with me but had too much fun watching everyone breaking their toys.. I will be coming across I-70 from out east so let me know where if you want to hook up and I will meet you. Storm I am running a f/i big block d44/12b 4:10's locked front with a trac-loc in the rear. 35"BFG AT's 4"skyjacker front/ springer rear. Should be a fun day.....
