spring hangers

    will stock spring hangers and shackle.? work on a 2wd crewcab to convert to 4wd thanks gurus

    you may have to look at the engine crossmember also, i dont think a 2wd setup will work with a solid front axle.

    yeah 2wds have a lower different crossmember, just a lot of rivet grinding and a new crossmember. Can always make new ones if you have the facilities.

    Right on!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Im converting my buddies 2wd to 4wd also, its only goint to be around 15"-17" with 42's though. Instead of using stock hangers, im going to make them. I want some pics of the process and when your done!

    Right on!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Im converting my buddies 2wd to 4wd also, its only goint to be around 15"-17" with 42's though. Instead of using stock hangers, im going to make them. I want some pics of the process and when your done!

    Let us know how you are after the rollover on the way out of the garage with 25" of lift.

    That said, it's worthless to roll your eyes at a long standnig member saying tha the'll send a 25" lifted truck to scary steering. there is damn near no safe way to steer such a pig, so no matter what, it'll be scary steering material.

    Not necessairly, maybe hes going to run full hydraulic steering, like that in a monster truck, they dont have hack steering. There are safe ways to do it.
