Spring Perches on 14 Bolt FF\'s

I've found potential 14 bolt/Dana 44 donors to replace my Corp. 10 bolts. I just want to make sure everything matches up with no problems. One concern was the spring perch spacing. What years and models are compatible with an 85? Thanks.

Any 3/4 ton rear up to 88 should fit, the one tons had them closer together, at least some one tons, but if both front and rear came out of the same truck you'll be fine.

What is the oldest year that would fit?

'73 is the oldest. I think that was the first year for the 14 bolt? Older trucks (3/4 or 1 ton) had either a Dana 60 rear, or the old Eaton drop out style. The spring spacing is different on pre-'73s also.

Just take a tape measure and measure. I think you need them to be about 40" apart, while the 1tons ones are 42.

I HAVE A 74 BLAZER WITH 3/4 TON DANA 44 AND 14 BOLT REAR AND IT BOLTED RIGHT UP. YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS PUTTING THOSE AXLES IN YOUR K5.
