That cracked me up! There's another one floating around where some folks lure a squirrel onto a clay pigeon launcher and then pull the trigger. But the catapault gets extra points for creativity! :)

We had to do a thing for english class back in sophomore year where we made a product, and tried to sell it. We built a trebuchet, and called it the "Gerbilizer."

Few years ago I was helping the ex-gf's dad open his pool. They had this crazy rock waterfall setup down the one side the pool, that was fed from pipes inside the rock (duh).

    ANYWAY

turns out we forgot the check if the pipes were clear before he fired up the pump. pressure started to build, but no water was coming out, about 20 seconds of head scratching later we hear a THOOOMP (like a mortar) and a squirle fired about 35 feet into the air.

I seriously laughed for about 20 minutes, and another 10 when I was trying to explain this to the ex.
