I am having a career change for now with the new job too. not going to be machining anymore, maybe a bit from time to time on the job. will be doing precision assembly of well,........secrete stuff that will go in outer space. I cant discuss it but the good news is it will pay 15% more then I was making at the plasma spray/machine shop I was at, and the bennies will be much better. will get alot of over time too, so with hourly pay it will be good. I dont have to bring my own tools either. I will be supplied with a complete Snap On tool box full of tools.

But he kinda sad thing is since it's all top secret stuff you won't be able to show off the photos of the cool stuff you make, like you do sometimes.:(

This goes along with burning yourself while welding.
My dad wears flip-flops when he welds bc he had a big weld chunck get stuck in his boot one day. Ever since he wears flip-flops.
