Occasionally, when I start my k5, I will hear a whinning sound, could my solenoid be hanging up?

Is it turning the motor over I betting not it sounds like I may be the starter it self
if it was the solenoid I would not start the electric starter or not disengage i hope this helps

When the starter is turned on the electric motor engages a spring clutch and the gear slides in to the flywheel and on yours the spring clutch is busted (buy a new starter) /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
