When i goto start my blazer it turns over a few times and then it makes a tinging noise that lasts for 3 or so seconds and it sounds like the selinoid is kicking out. Am i right about this??? I just wanna be sure before i replace something and then not have it be right.

There are actually a few things that could be causing the problem. First, do you have a oil leak? After my truck developed one, it started covering the starter and sometimes the seloniod doesn't throw. Another thing is it could be the Armature. If thats the case, you can get one from Napa for about $15.00. Best of luck,
