I've been collecting them since they started them. Just separating them from my change and dumping them into a jar, realy. But I think I have all the ones you're looking for, I have to look at them and see the the mint.

Between us all we should be able to cover them - thanks and let me know what you need.

I am organizing mine in one of the books. Both D & P for all the states in order.

I think you need to start again Riz.

My family handed down some coin collections - real cool to have. I don't know if these State Series will ever turn out to be worth anything but you need to start somewhere I guess.

I squirrel away silver dollars and fiddy-cent pieces also.

I don't collect em, but I make a nice profit off em at work :P One of the cooks wanted my three Tennesee quarters but didn't have any quarters so she gave me a buck. So I went and got a pepsi in the pop machine for $50 and got the one with the big tree on it.. she wanted that one too and still didn't have any quarters so she gave me ANOTHER dollar... I can't figger out why she didn't just take it and call it even ($1 for $1), but I'm not gonna complain [IMG]

Never thought about collecting both D and P, but I did buy a nice coin holder for the hallway wall to put them in. Not one of the US shaped ones but a nice smaller one with just a small amount of design around all the coin holes.

I used to collect them actively, although not any more...

I have a huge bowl that I'd dump every state quarter I ever got into, and have prolly about 400 dollars worth of the things... i think I'm going to go through, sort them, pull the nicest looking ones out, and turn the rest into something usefull like a doubler, or set of axles for my project truck I want to build from the ground up.

    oh well,

oh, 2 little side notes: the P stands for Philadelphia, and the D for Denver... for those of us out west, we mostly get Denver quarters... for you guys back east, its Philadelphia quarters.... and the rarest ones? The S quarters... although I don;t think San Francisco is minting quarters anymore...

the other hting, I finaly got a Tennesee quarter, and all I can say is they're missing the Washboard and Jug...

like 700 bucks... what I generaly do is start with a 5 gallon bucket, and throw all my change into it every night when I goto bed.. then, after like a year of that, I pull out all the quarters, and dump the rest into a coinstar, or visit a casino, where they don't charge to sort coins, and turn it into cold hard cash. then I take the 300-500 bucks I now magicaly have, and blow it on candy and icecream...

Yeah, I have the old 5 gallon jug that I use - 3/4 full (silver with pennies) got me about $725 once. I seperated and my bank counted. Took them 3 days to deposit in my account. Funny now but I was getting nervous!

Not to be negative, but does anyone believe these will be worth anything more than .25? The last collectable quarter(centenial) is worth all of....25 cents. I was looking cause I too was interested and found there is no real value in Susan B's and most common paper money like $2 bills. I was collecting til I found this out and now figure, ehh, not worth my time. Besides, in 20 years who is gonna want em, and there will probably be plenty of them around so they won't be worth a whole lot. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see.
