    I'm giving myself ten minutes

    GO

Stave, being one who is initiated into the far darker side of what is unknown, walked unsteadily into a dry and drab, sandy sandy bar near the border of Heaven and Hell.

His legs were too long and too narrow, matching his arms, that ended in spidery hands, that were clutching dirty revolver and small black box.

He tried as hard as could to drop on to the bar stool dramatically, but the combination of odd proportions and light weight made him seem to just tip over.

On hundred ten degrees of turning brought him to face thae bar mirror, a broken face weathered to leather looked back.

He thumbed the cylinder release, loosing five rounds of spent brass and one live round.

He closed the revolver and sat it on the bar, spinning it idly

The bartender came and went, a drink was there and then was gone.

The bar room was stepped in age, a twelve foot wide alley enclosed in heat blasted wood. It ran sixty feet and was covered by one bartender, three regulars, and a layer of dust showing months if not years.

Stave's hand settled like a five legged spider over the revolver, the slow spinning that it has been accustomed to was at an end.

He opened the cylinder again and looked through the holes, six windows on the world, each with it's own story, it's own malice, it's own sorrow.

He slid the final round into the topmost hole, spinning the cylinder against his leg.

The bar room went silent. Four sets of eyes on an open revolver, cylinder spinning ever slower.

In a trance like a falling child, Stave snapped the latch closed and cocked the hammer, pointing the barrel to his head.

    Four sets of eyes closed

    Four sets of eyes opened

The gun was again open and spinning at the bar, the rail thin demon tossing a hard cast handload in the air and snatching it back

    "That was my lucky one"

The wind blew dust, the gun scratched the bar, the men went on drinking

    TIME

    ok, one minute over

What the hell did I just write
