    I'm alright fellers, thanks though.

My best friend from a ways back has kinda gone downhill the past year or so, even after most of his friends and I had tried to get him to see what he was doing. Over this past summer, we kinda drifted apart, because he was into some drugs, never could keep a job, getting kicked out of his house a few times, etc.

Man, he called me today, and came up to my apartment, and we had a long talk about stuff, and I think he's come around. He said he's kinda using me as a role model to pull himself outta this hole he's in, and I think he's actually gonna do it.

Anyway, it made me realize that this kid really is one of my best friends, and that I never should have let us drift apart, because if he hadn't realized what road he was walking down, we'd probably never be friends again.

The stuff we talked about also made me realize that I drink waaaay too much, and that I need to calm my happy ass down in that department. ****, I was bragging about it in my sig for a few days. I am an idiot. Today is the first day that I haven't been ****ed up in a long time, and I'm curious as to how long I can make it last. Other than today, I don't remember the last time I went a day without drinking. I need to fix that.

    Thanks for listening

Right on, you gotta follow your gut on this one. Walk away from it for a while, and do things that build strength in your body and mind. Sounds like you had a revelation, and it is wise to heed it.

One day at a time, and blessings to you and your friend.:waytogo:
