Just got the STC top on tonight. Looks great, and fits like a glove. No kidding great top, easy to put on, good instructions. I put roof flashing sealant under all fasttrac mounts so no leaks, checked it with hose spray. $505 to my door. Anybody know a good source for 303 protectant? See it along with caliper grinding pics at http://coloradok5.com/gallery/Schimdt4

    General-

How much material did it take you to cover your truck in Rhino Lining? Does it spray from a can, or from a compressed-air spray gun? How much did it cost you? Finally, how thick did you apply the coating on your truck?

That thing is kick @$$! My truck wants to be like your truck when it grows up!

Hey Joel, it looks like it is comming along good. I will have to print out some pics and take them to Roger's and show him what it looks like. If you get up this way and we get to wheel sometime you can drop over and show him it in person.

Thanks for all the good comments. Those are 39.5 X 18. A little too wide, but got a real good deal on them. The Rhino is from compressed air and you mix the harderner with the poly as it passes through gun being pushed by air. Total was about 4 gallons of poly 3 gallons of poly. I still have to get a UV top coat put on. One word of caution; you have to keep all moisture out of lines and gun when spraying or it gets air pockets in it that bubble up when sprayed on. I went about 1/8" thick outside, 1/4 inside. So far I am pleased with it. It cost me 500, but I did all the body prep work and clean-up myself and help the guy spray it. When I went to get first estimate he said 850. I have some POR 15, I still have to do undercarraiage with. The rust was repaired and I am hopin to avoid furhter rust damage by doin it right. We will see.

Thanks for posting this! Last I had checked Kayline had been bought, but the tops hadn't been in production yet, so I'm glad to see you can buy them again. Woohoooo!

General, you can get 303 Protectant from your local Camping World store. I just got some last week. You can also buy it through their website. Here it is...

Another note about STC. Ordered it, 4 days later, on my doorstep, even though they said it could take up to 3 weeks.

Its 6" suspension, 3 body, still debating on going down to 1 body, will see when the twin stick comes in for the doubler to see how much extra cuttin needs to be done in shifter opening for the added space between body and cases. the rear is 2" springs, 4 inch shackle flip.

That's the only gripe I have (so far) with the Canback. I ordered it about 6 weeks ago(!) and I STILL don't have it. I was told 3 weeks tops, so I said that was cool. I wish they would have told me at least 6 weeks to begin with, that way I won't be let down everytime I get home and don't see it.[IMG]

general, first of all that is one bad ass k5. top looks great. i just got done putting my STC softop on my 72 k5. wish i could agree totally with you on everything. im sure your top went on fine, but with all the extra brackets and everything on the 72 mine was kinda a pain to install. the top looks great now that its on,but their instructions that came with mine are pretty vauge on a few things and confusing. on some parts you kinda had to guess how and where it goes. just finished it a few hours ago, so i dont know how it will perform (water tight?) , but we kinda sprayed it with a hose and it seemed ok.i know this is a first gen. thing, but i thought i would give everyone another perspective. like i said it looks great and im happy (so far) with it, but im going to call or e-mail them some suggestions on changes to their directions. its not their fault they used the ones that kayline gave them. i figure i can at least make it easier for another buyer so they dont get pissed like i did.....later tmanofcali

Frisbie said Mequiars vinyl protectant is the best he has seen. I plan to use it on my Kayline Fast Trac soon. It appears yours is just like mine! I dig the tinted windows. Did you get the black denim or black vinyl? I have had mine on for close to 2 years (year around!) without any problems.

Hey general whats that flashing sealant you were talking about that stops water from getting in? and how does that work? Im thinking about buying a stc top for mine but I dont know if it would keep water out and heat in since I will use it in the winter time.
