I recently bought my 86 K5. The guy before me redid the carpet & rear seat. But the front seats are shot & I would like to get arm rests. Are the steel horse seats worth the money? Is there any other brands out there. Thanks

I'm thinking about doing new seats too. Check out www.corbeau.com Kind of pricey but real nice.

But none of those seats have arm rests. And the one thing I'm not sure of on the steel horse is do the seats go all the way forward to get access to the back. They do say they recline all the way back..

I had the same question about rear seat access.

I'm also wondering if SteelHorse has a flip/fold rear seat. I'd like to find a new rear to match new fronts.

Check out Flofits - I responded to 73K5's post this morning about Corbeau's - I looked at them all (including Steel Horse, Salesco, Recaro (ouch$$$), Corbeau, etc.) before ordering the Flofits, I love them. About $800 delivered to my door with all the options (NO ARMRESTS, though wasn't a big deal to me). Seat Source in Riverside, CA carries I believe all the major brands - 909-343-9430 - you can see my Flofits on my webpage below - click on it, then go to the interior page for the pics.

Go to the junkyards. Most of the seats are already pulled and put inside somewhere. Should be some nice van seats at some junkyards.

I saw a Blazer that had late model Suburban seats w/armrests, installed in it. It really looked great. You could look for late model P/U seats, they have one arm rest.

The seats in my 86 Sub have arm rests, so you may want to find a set of those. Are your seats stock and do they recline, because if they are and do, I would like to talk to you about buying them.

I don't care about the seats, I want the hinges and the plastic covers that allows it to recline. When you get new seats let me know. Thanks. Where exactly are you?

i recently bought a pair of salesco seats. SWEET!!! they have the fold down arm rest/console. they fold up so you have a bench (which i sleep on) and they matchd my carpet perfectly. a bit pricey though.

I found a Junk yard in fresno Ca. Sill a 2 hr drive from here. That says they have a large selection of seats. They are my next option. And then I think I will try salesco. Witch salesco seats did you get. I was looking at the malibu..........
