Steering box cracking frame??

    I heard a rumor that the chevrolet trucks are notorious for their frames cracking where the steering box attaches when you run oversize tires. Just wanted to make sure this is true before i reinforce my frame.

    In a word YES .... I can send you pics of my frame and the crack that wnet almost all the way around. And this was when it was stock.

    i have a79 with 36'' tires on it the last 10 yrs with no problem.but i'm going to fix the problem before it starts. why push it. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
