What year trucks can I get the steering gear shaft out of to put into my steering box for cross over. I know sometime in the early 80's the boxes change slightly but is the shaft the same? Are there other years/makes that use a saginaw box that you can pull the shaft out of and use for cross over in the stock Blazer/Jimmy box. Anybody got a listing of internal part numbers for steering boxes so I could cross reference them?

    Thanks,
    Mike

The sector shafts are all the same in the Chevy pickups

Do you know if the newer 88+ truck 2wd shaft would fit into the older style box? This would lead to a much larger and cheaper source of these shafts.

    Thanks,
    Mike
