Hey I just checked out my steering trying to figure out why it was so sloppy and its something in the shaft itself.I reached down and grabbed the shaft near the top where it goes into the column shift linkage part and it wobbles all around almost like theres nothing holding it in there.Does anyone know anything about this like what i should be looking for or how to fix it?It doesnt look like anything is missing but the top is covered by the linkage part.
    ANY IDEAS???? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

that is a bushing bearing deal, but that wont cause steering slop, it will be slop in steering box or pitman arm or TRE, etc, you need to have someone turn your steering wheel back and forth and you need yto watch for worn movement under front of truck
