Here's a pic to prove it:

    Clicky

Here's this particular car's race history:

    Race History

As you can see by the date stamps, these were taken last Saturday. A local real estate company was holding a public barbecue, bluegrass singing, and display of this car as a friendly promotional event for itself I guess.

It was meant for something I was going to later on in the day. I don't usually change shirts in the middle of the day out of habit, unless I'm going swimming.

wow, if that makes you an Earnhardt fan, i dunno what you would consider my dad and I.

here are pics of our collection. and we're missing the double sided freestanding 5' tall, 4' wide display case, which is filled with 1:24 cars. ran out of room, so there are quite a few cars that are put away in the storage room.

its about 80% Dale Sr. stuff. i think theres 2 or 3 cars in the display case not pictured that arent Dale. Sr. there's a Neil Bonnet car, and a Davey Allison that i know of.

Neil and Davey were the sh!t. Had Davey lived I doubt Gordan would have won so many Championships. He would have been the next great driver, IMHO.

The man who brought it did start it up a few times to rattle everybody around, but I honestly didn't think a full-tilt, Cup-spec engine was in it. Probably a stock 350 rebuild was under the hood of it, hooked up to the Cup-style exhaust so it sounded like it really 750-800 horses under the hood. Basically just all bark since the car's now a show/promotional vehicle.

beater, it would be nice for me to have a collection like that, but my current dwelling just doesn't have the room for all that. And no, all the space isn't taken up by anime stuff, in case your wondering. :D It's just I'm sharing the same space for the most part with my landlord.

Something else that was kinda cool too is that I think first Sterling Marlin, and then Mark Martin, I think, showed up unannounced briefly, in normal street clothes, and kept low profiles of course. Think they were just passing through, heard about one of Dale Sr.'s old cars being in the area, and just stopped by to see for themselves what it was being the main attraction for. I managed to chat for just a second with Sterling while we were both checking out the interior.

EDIT - However, I didn't get pictures of them both, as I wanted to repsect it being an off weekend for them away from everything.
