The specification link in the technical section of this site states that the specs are for Chevy Blazers only. I'm curious if anybody can tell me what axles are in my 77 GMC Jimmy? It has a 350/350 and the sticker in the glovebox says it has 3.07 gears.

be more specific with your question. what axles? go outside and look down, those are the axles. just kidding, but what about the axles do you want to know?
if they are orig they are the 28 spline, but if they have been upgraded then the only way to tell is pull off the diff cover.

They should be the same axles listed for the Blazer. If you think they have been swapped, compare the pumpkins on your truck to the ones in the axle I.D. in the technical section. I think they should be a 12 bolt, and a Dana 44 on a 77. Don't quote me, but I don't think they had switched to the 10 bolt front in 77. So those are probably your axles.

They kept the 12 bolts up to about '80 or '81. I'm pretty sure all '70's model Blazers/Jimmy's get the 12 bolt in the rear.

My 79 has a 12 bolt rear and a 10 bolt front. They stopped putting D44 in blazers and jimmys in 78. So yours should have a 12 bolt rear and D44 front. I'm almost 100% positive that blazers and jimmys had everything the same throughout 73-91.

    My friend's '79 C10 has a stock 10 bolt rear.

They started using 10 bolts when they ran out of 12 bolts and D44s.
