stock power numbers of a 454

    I was just curious what the stock power is of the older 1 ton trucks with 454's in them, like what you would find in a junkyard on a lucky day.

    Depends on the year. 88 FI L19 N code is rated 230hp @ 3600 RPM and 385lbft at 1600 RPM......can you say stump puller? /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

    I've been post digging, but what years did the peanut heads come on 454's and what years did they get the Oval heads.

    sorry high jacked this one. how about a 78 from a c-10 suburban 2x4 with 10k gvw trailer package? thanks. and penut port was mostly when fuel injection came along.
