Man I am so happy. After living with 3.08 gears 32 inch tires and open for 3 years I have finnaly worked a killer deal and got better gears. Bud traded me some 4.11 axles for a few hundred bucks and my front axle. The front has a lockright in it and the rear has a Detroit.
Sunday I'm going over to another buds house that has a set of 36 inch radial swampers on rims for sale. Going to work out our deal. He trailers the truck so pretty low miles on them. Were talking $100 a tire and still working out a price for the rims. Probably get the whole deal for around $500 and not even have to mount and ballance them. I will need to find 1 36 to use as a spare.
This morning another bud just GAVE me a hard top. I'm going to cut the middle out of it and make it a BIG sunroof and then use a Bikini to seal the hole when the weather is bad.
A few weeks ago Depdog cut me a killer deal (THANKS BUD!) and let me strip the front suspension, Rear axle, Manual peddle cluster (for Dollar) power steering and brakes off a 77 2wd Blazer he had. That get's me all the parts I need to make my 70 Burb disc and power steering. I just owe him a good straight 12 bolt housing and axle shafts and I will have that when I slip the 5 lug shafts into the burb.
Then my wonderful wife blows my mind and tells me to go buy a winch with some money I have comming my way. Probably won't do it because We need to spend it on the house but GOD LIFE HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME The last few weeks.
My only problem is TIME hahahaha. I just never seem to have enough of it.
Ohh well I had to tell somebody of my good fortune.

It's not my damn planet monkey boy!

I know what you mean, lived with 3.08's and 35" tires for two years. Went to 4.56 and really made a difference.

Sounds cool, can't wait to see it. If you drive it to Henery's give me a ring and I will swing by. If mine is back together I'll drive it, otherwise I'll be in the Poncho.

IF I make it to Henry's. Getting up the first thing in the morning to throw the 4.11 rear axle under it. Supose to call him around noon. Would 4 36 inch swampers fit in the back of my Supra? [IMG]
I also need to run by Keiths and pick up a part he has for me.

Congrats man, sounds like life is being good. I also am having good luck, my dad just gave me the ok to get a GM 350HO (330HP) for my truck. Looks like I aint going to be able to make it to the Dixie Run, my D60 source didn't work out, and there are a ton of small things I need to do to get ready that I don't have the money for. I'm gona make it up there one day.
