    Stolen vehicle\'s- A VIN check?

Does anyone know where to check on the internet a VIN to see if it has been stolen? So far I can only find sites that requires the VIN to be 17 or more characters (I believe '83 on up). /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

I dunno about the net. I've always called the police department and had them run it...

yeah just call the county and they will run and check it, but if its stolen and in your posession then you go to jail, 17 digit is 81 up most all models, i always ahve a towing outfit do the checking for me
