How many of ya'll running straight pipes? I just cut a chunk of pipes about 5 inches long in front of each muffler today and it is tby far the loudest thing i've ever been near. but it also smells much richer than it did with mufflers. . .ya'll get this? any sound clips of straight pipes, i'll have a clip in a couple days, it's impressive. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i also may put some cut outs on soon, how much would a muffler shop charge to put those on?

I've run straight headers before. It is extremely loud. I do not recall it smelling richer though. It does increase your low end torque, but it messes with your top end. I have only done it on long weekends at the desert, gets a lot of looks though. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

The reduction in back pressure should kill low end torque and give you more top end, not the other way around... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You are right, it is the other way around; my bad! Yes, torque is gone, top end is not. Thanks for straightening me out. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
