The resistance on the secondary side of the coil seems way too high. An ohmmeter uses direct current to make it's measurement. It should read very close to zero ohms on either side of a coil.

    Here are a few ideas:

Are you getting a spark at the plug? (check distributor shaft, wires, terminals, rotor, module, etc.)

Have you got good compression? (Timing chain, lower engine block, timing problems)

Is there Gas getting in the engine (Carb, fuel pump)

Other than that, FUEL + SPARK + PROPER SETUP = RUNNING ENGINE !

    Good Luck!

BINGO!!! You got it! A bad coil...replaced it with an Accel Coil ($30) and it started right up!

    Thank you!

Actually the secondary side was fine (measured between the + side, and the coil wire output) MSD tells me that the secondary should read between 4900-5000 ohms so it was right on the money. The PRIMARIES however (measured from + to -), were way out of spec. MSD says between .71-.80 ohms is good. Mine read at 1.0 ohms. Dropped in a new unit, and she started like nothing ever happened! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

    Thanks for the help all!
