I was looking into a bike near me, and sent the seller an email asking him if he's around for me to check it out today.
    Here's the reply I got:

Now I know it's stupid and doesn't even make sense, but I don't even want to pursue a deal if I think I'm going to have to translate emails back to english before reading them, or have to figure out what the guy is saying when I talk to him. Maybe he's typing from a cell phone, but it just seems like a lazy and half-arsed reply. I don't like thinking bike maintenance was probably done in the same way...

Although, if he speaks phonetics like he writes them, he should be easy to understand.

In all fairness, I know it's probably not right to start forming an opinion from a one line email. Just a very tattered line...

Looks like something a 12 year old would type..which is fine, if a 12 year old typed it.

go with your gut on this one, dude..

My favorites are the people that reply on the forums like that. There might be GENIOUS thoughts and insights in their post about fixing your problem but because they're to illiterate/lazy/whatever to use somewhat proper grammar you get to spend 15 minutes and at least three rereads trying to figure out what they wrote.

I had an incident with repairing something on my Tracker fairly recently that pertained to this. A guy posted up a tip about fixing some wiring and it was all in jibberish/internet-ese without a single bit of punctuation. I got half way through the project and was starting to get pissed about a lack of results when I realized I was breaking his thoughts up incorrectly and he was saying something else. The use of periods on his part would have helped dramatically to say the least.

Yes I ran this through spell check before I posted it.:p:

Well, at least you know he's not Nigerian. They're too smart for that.
